2003 Saturn Vue FWD 4-cyl will be driving fine, then will intermittently (once a week) think it is out of gas when it isn’t and the car stops recognizing I’m trying to accelerate and gets loud. Pressing the gas pedal does nothing. Then it runs rich creating a distinct odor, loses power, brake pedal gets incredibly tight and less responsive (due to loss of vacuum, I think.) When this happens, it throws no codes to a scanning tool.
We have replaced the accellerator assembly and the throttle switch. We are in the process of ordering/replacing the throttle body.
Researching online shows a number of people are having this exact issue with no resolution. Has anyone else seen this issue or the resolution for it?
