We have a 2000 oldsmobile bravada and this morning, when my fiancee went to release the e-brake, the handle broke/released, but the brake is still engaged. Is there a way to manually release the e-brake?
If you can reach the broken of the cable use a pair of visegrips or pliers to pull on the cable until the E-brake releases. It may be necessary to remove the side kick panel to access the cable end.
