I have a 1990 ford tarus and the blower worked fine one minute and just quit the next and its not a fuse
Chk at the plug going into fan motor to see if you have 12 volts going to the fan at times when it suppose to be running and isn’t. If you have 12v and the motor is not running the fan motor is bad which likely the case anyaway.
I had the same problem on a 1990 Ford Aerostar. I could bang on the blower motor and it would come on. Do this test and you will probably find that you do, in fact, need a new blower motor.
I agree. When they go bad the shaft gets worn and will start to jam. May work sometimes and not another. Getting the fan out of a Taurus is a big job.
