I have a 1990 Plymouth Voyager. The headlights quit working. Apparently it’s the switch. I was quoted approx. $400 to fix it, then they’d need to check the dimmer switch as well. That seems like a lot of money. I have no idea. I’m female and I think they know I’m not super-car-savvy at the shop but they also know I don’t have much money. I’m not sure what to do but get a second opinion somewhere else.
Who gave you the estimate? What it a dealer, a chain or an independent mechanic.
I suggest checking the Mechanx files here for a mechanic in your area or ask friends, relatives, co-workers or neighbors for suggestions for an independent mechanic.
