Car would not start (begins to rumble like it will start but won’t turn over) had ignition wires and coil replaced - car is starting every time mechanic tries it - don’t want to get stranded again - any suggestions?
You don’t say how old the car is.
You are not clear as to what the car is not doing. Is the starter turning the engine? If so that would be considered “turning over.” Guessing this much works else you wouldn’t have tried replacing coil or ignition wires.
I had a 1986 VW Golf. Gave me fits when it wouldn’t start but once started it would run without a hitch. The problem was a small relay mounted on the fuse panel. This relay powered the fuel injection. Think it cost all of $10 to replace, once we diagnosed the problem.
