I took my 2004 Honda Civic to Honda service for a new battery. When I got home, I could not open the glove box. I called Honda and they said to bang on it as something might have gotten stuck inside. This did not work. How can I get it to open?
Try to determine what is stuck and work the latch while pushing and pulling on the door. If you cannot open it, probably a locksmith can.
Does it have a key lock? Perhaps some conscientious mechanic locked it.
There is no lock on the glovebox. Can a locksmith still open it?
Just go back to the dealer and ask them if they can see if they can get it open for you. There’s probably someone there who can open it in less than a minute.
