The advantage of a screen is you can program it anyway you want. It should be a lay up to provide an “analog look” to the gauges even on a flat screen.
UncleT, your reply brings up another question: perhaps you could program it, perhaps even I, a technology-challenged old curmudgen, could program it. But will the elderly folks across the street from me be able to?
When my mom was still around she used to call me occasionally to go over and reprogram her TV. Nephews of mine used to visit, they’d change the programming, and she couldn’t watch her shows. Is this new technology going to leave our older generation struggling to do even simple things?
BTW, bluetooth isn’t secure.
bluetooth IS SECURE…In MOST applications it’s NOT using it though. But it can be used as a secure dedicated device.
