my gear shift is working but when I go into park to shut off the engine and I turn the key it does not go all the way to the key removal position, in other words I cannot get my key out of the ignition, and i afraid my battery may run down because it is not shut off all the way.
If your dash icons are not lit then the battery is not on. I would have a good mechanic check your keyswitch. You may have a damaged key or the keyswitch itself could be damaged. The lockpin inside the steering wheel could also be the cause of the hangup.
