$4.029/gal. @ Costco, Sterling VA.
Wasn’t that for… probably… 2 dozen?
I never buy eggs at Costco because their packages of eggs contain too many for my uses.
How many eggs are actually in the package at Costco?
Sorry that was for gas. As far as eggs I don’t know haven’t bought groceries there in years, I don’t feed an army. Actually I don’t think I’ve even been inside the place more than a handful of times in the past couple years.
On the topic of Costco, and–more importantly–to return to an automotive theme…
Has anyone else noticed that Rain-X windshield washer fluid hasn’t been available there for at least a few weeks?
Hopefully it will return soon, because I would prefer to not pay full retail price.
You’re right, a few dollars up/down in gasoline prices isn’t really much a practical issue for many of us. Topic of conversation b/c gasoline is one of the few products where the price changes almost daily, and is posted along the roads on large billboards. I paid $5 for 18 eggs the other day too. 27 cents per egg. If you think about, 27 cents is a pretty good buy for a tasty hard boiled egg snack. I’d rather pay 15 cents of course. I went back to that store to get another 18, and there wasn’t a single egg on the shelves at all. I noticed one of my neighbors now has a bunch of chickens clucking & wandering around in their front yard, probably related.
Well it was $6 today so more like 33 cents. It really doesn’t bother me except seems to me it wasn’t long ago it was closer to $2. Just kind of an indication of here, watch the squirrel, don’t look over there. My sympathy for those that can’t just absorb a large cost increase.
Might have something to do with the fire at the egg plant though. Lot of the going around.
Mine too. One consolation, those folks are the ones that are definitely benefitting from the big recent drop in gasoline prices. Clouds do have silver linings.

Yes, our strategic supply for national emergencies is down to about 400 million barrels. The lowest it has ever been with winter coming, transportation and supply chain issues increasing, and Europe in turmoil. But what is to be concerned about. Rumors though to add to the supply at $80 a barrel to replenish what was put there at $30 a barrel.
Back at the start of Covid, there was supposed to be a strategic supply of pp equipment too but it had been all drawn down and not resupplied. Seems to be a trend. But hey enjoy the savings for a couple months.
$3.55 in South Jersey
The price at my local Costco station has held steady at $3.34/gallon for about 9 days.
