My 2012 Hybrid engine will idle up after releasing the gas. The engine is sufficiently charged when this happens. Any thoughts as to why?
Does the engine return to normal idle quickly? If it does then it may be a normal function. Other than that you might want to check the IAC to see if it needs cleaning. Hybrids are a different animal than most vehicles so they operate a little differently.
Is this something new or has it always done this?
Just happened first thing this morning. The car will only idle back when I’m stopped.
