2012 Chevrolet Cruze - High idle

Engine revs high when at idle

Well, you didn’t ask a question but, my crystal ball says…
Possibly a faulty Idle Air Control Motor (IAC). Or a vacuum leak

Does that occur only when the engine is cold, soon after starting the car? Or does it occur with a fully warmed up engine too? Does your dashboard coolant temperature gauge say the coolant is reaching normal operating temperature after 5-10 minutes of driving?

Since your car doesn’t have an idle air control valve, try cleaning the electronic throttle body.
