i recently purchased a 1999 plymouth voyager with 160k miles, everything seems ok except for a “knocking sound” from the front end. Unlike the clicking sound of bad cv joints. What may this sound be comming from? ball joints, worn tie rod ends, shocks, struts? How dangerous is it?
The noise occurs when i drive on bumpy roads. other than that, it is smooth as ice.
Go for an alignment and tell your problem. Someone should check those things out.
If it’s not something more serious like bad struts or something, it could be just worn sway bar bushings. They were pretty easy to change on my Buick - no idea what the job is like on a minivan.
Since we don’t know what it is we can’t suggest how dangerous it is. It is possible that it could cause an accident on the freeway.
