Oh yeah, I have observed the same type of thing quite a few times on my computer. And, the one that you posted came from the Redundancy Office of Redundancy!
free vin checks give you basics like year make model and stolen status but miss the important stuff - accident history, title brands, odometer rollbacks. i use an app called CarXray from the app store for paid checks. way cheaper than carfax at like 15 bucks and it does AI photo analysis to detect repaints which no other service offers
