Foreign materials in transmission

During servicing of a manual transmission, a piece of plastic fell inside the tranny. I tried filling and draining with no results. My question is, since the tranny is a sealed unit, what sort of damage if any to the transmission by the piece of soft plastic?

Depending on the size of the piece and how soft it is, it may not do any damage, it’ll just get shredded into smaller and smaller pieces. Good luck.

What kind of “servicing” was being performed that allowed this to happen?? What was it? The tip of a funnel? The nose off a bottle of gear oil? Those items should not cause any problems or damage…They will just become part of the lubricant…
