I have a 1994 Ford Taurus that has been stalling periodically for 2 weeks now. I’ve taken it to our mechanic, and he can’t find anything wrong with it. It stalls when you slow down or stop at a red light. It is hard to get started again, but when it does start up, it sounds fine.
The next time you feel it’s going to stall, slightly step into the throttle. If doing this prevents the engine from stalling, it usually points to a problem with the idle air control circuit.
