In this case I would have the ford dealer do it. if you have a problem, you can bring it to any ford dealer. If you use the other shop and have a problem, it is 400 miles away.

Cars aren’t designed for you to work on. They are designed to save as much money as possible in assembly. A secondary goal may be to make it more likely that you will take it to a dealer for service.
