I recently purchased a 2004 Ford F350 XL P-Stroke Diesel and a friend asked me if Ford had fixed the problems they had with this engine. First - is it true they had big problems with this and second - did they figure out how to fix it?
The early Navistar diesel engines had a problem where the injector pump seals would fail and coolant would enter the injector pump. If this what you’re refering to, it’s not an issue on your truck.
My brother has a 2002 F350 XL Dually with 270,000 miles on it. Loves it.
