I have a 2000 Toy 4-Runner. Recently (past few months) my 4-runner has experienced prolonged cranking times and occasional failed starts - Only after brief trips. In other words if I drive a short distence turn off my car for a short period and then attempt to re-start, it will frequently fail to start. I have been able to over come this issue by either holding the key on ignition longer allowing the car the crank longer and occasionally I will need to lightly press the accelorator when starting the car to allow it to start. Once started the 4-runner appears to run fine. Definately not electrical
