My o/d stopped working. I replaced a blown 5am fuse that among other things controls the o/d control switch. The o/d still does not work. I checked the fuse again, it is OK. 4.2 EFI V-6 with Electronic 4-SPD O/D. Any suggestions.
A common malfunction is just the wire in the shift lever. Through continued back & forth movement over time, the wires break internaly. The switch at the tip of shift lever is another possibility before thinking of internal transmission solenoids.
Also check the connections on the plug at te transmission.
