I am still doing stuff with TIPIX, tql programming but seeing windows OS in cars worries me more, is that where cars came up with the start button to shut down?
I agree hacking and computer virus are different. But not that different. A common way to hack a computer is to plant a virus…however Linux is still prone to a virus.
Reason there are less Linux Viruses is because there are less installed Linux systems and the people who write them want to target as many as possible. The number of viruses go up in direct proportion to the number of installed systems.
There a lot of Linux servers, but those are maintained by a group of IT professionals. They are vigilant in keeping the system up and protected. Not so much with the average home Linux installation.
But compare Linux servers to Windows servers (that are also maintained by IT professionals), the number of viruses and hacks are very very low.
