I have the '94 taurus sho 3.2 L engine. apparently the ‘hydraulic’ timing belt tensioner needs to be replaced, but can’t find one. any help on this part and other engine parts the ford dealer no longer supports? or can it be replaced with a different type/modified, etc.?
You are reasonably likely to get some advice here, but you will find much more fertile ground in a Taurus SHO forum. There must be several given the popularity of this car.
Right, this engine was not built by Ford, it was either Mercury Outboard (Brunswick Corp) or Yamaha (both experienced aluminum engine casters) that built it. The SHO Forum guys will know. Most young Ford mechanics don’t even know this engine existed.
