Previously, I discussed my 2014 Buick Verano battery having ,to be charged multiple times a year. I noticed when I used my key insert to unlock the car because the plastic caved in on the wireless lock and unlock fob, the alarm would sound or the trunk would open. I’m wondering if the defect is in the car door and how to get it to show up. The Dealership has run several diagnostics and came up negative.
That is not unusual, I recharge the batteries in my cars every 3 months. If you drive the vehicle 1 hour each day recharging shouldn’t be necessary but for low mileage drivers the battery charge will deplete over time.
Unlocking the door with the mechanical key will not disarm the security alarm, the is no lock/unlock switch on the door lock cylinder. Have you considered buying a new key? Probably cost less than the diagnostic labor searching for a problem.

You only have one key FOB ? If that is correct it would be a good idea to get a new one.
