i just bought a 96 honda civic dx 4 dr atomatic. it has a after market car alarm in it. i acidently set it off heard 3 beeps and then thare was no power to the entire car. trying to figer out what cased it all the fusses are good dident see any ground wire loos or a bad conetion batter is good.
Aftermarket alarms can be problematic, can you ask the original owner about the steps to get the car running again?
It is probably supposed to do that, to prevent theft. If you can’t find instructions and you can’t get things straitened out any other way, try disconnecting the battery. Let it sit for a while before reconnecting the battery. This crude technique always works for me (so far), but definitely find out how the alarm works to prevent future problems.
