I’m very used to vehicles using vacuum for all of the HVAC operations including the positioning of the blend door to control output temperature. But apparently some more recent vehicles are beginning to use electric blend doors.
I was wondering if anyone here knows if an 03’ Explorer Sport uses an electric or a vac. blend door.

I owned a 98 Ford Explorer some time back and it used an electric actuator. The reason i know is because it failed twice during the 2 years we owned the vehicle.
Hope your not having the same problem.
