Door dent in 2008 Nissan Altima

The problem for me is that the door is on the wrong side so I’d have to have the hammer in my left hand. In the old days they would drill holes in strategic places to pull on it. Then they went to welding nubs on to pull on it, or you can use the suction cups and/or glue, but that wrecks the paint. You don’t fill something like that but beat it back to near normal, grind it and use a little not a lot of filler. Prime and paint, $980 later, or something like that.

What happened to the days of drilling a row of small holes and then using a slide hammer to pull out the dent, and then smooth out the whole thing with Bondo, and then spray the door?

Some people have pride in the body work they do?

I still say start searching through a good auto parts recycler.

PDL won’t work because the paint has to be in perfect condition and this isn’t the case here.Traditional bodywork techniques is the way to go but is costly. If money is the problem, why not live with it.
