“I Don’t Listen To Country Music, But Isn’t That The Lyrics To One Of The Popular Songs ?”
I know that Camry’s are built in Kentucky, but I just can’t imagine a country-western song about a Toyota. Especially a Corolla.

I guessed it was the Ford Fusion. Ford has come a long way in the last 10 years.

As you can see, there is a lot of deception in published sales numbers. The Ford150 though a truck sales leader for many years and one of the top sellers overall, discounts that the Chevy and Gmc, identical trucks when taken together, lags behind this past year by just 12 k trucks.
There have been years in the past when this combo of GMC and Chevy outsold Ford.
Notice too that Ram sales just says RAM trucks indicating that any size truck they deside to call a Ram, is counted. Likewise, Ford purposely makes no mid size truck to compete with the F150.
Bottom line; it’s all about merchandizing and bean counting.
The article does do a good job of explaining this. Notice, that’s the strategy employed by Ford in using the Focus name plate as much as possible, if I read it correctly, where Toyota for example created separated counting by not including competing Scion models which use the chassis overseas as their Corollas.
In a small scale, we will see the same thing played out when the Scion FRS sports car starts outselling the idendicle Subaru BRZ, (or vise versa) both of which are built by Subaru.
@jtsanders. There has to be a country western song involving a Toyota Corolla. Does this one count?
Kenny Chesney ‘Somewhere With You’ — Story Behind the Lyrics
Shane: It was literally two guys who had nothing, and I had just come back. I had no one to write with. I had started playing on the Sunset Strip in L.A. Before I left Nashville, I was just writing what was on the radio at the time, because it was all I knew. And going to L.A., not having anything going on, not having anyone to write with because I didn’t have a deal, that holds you up. You’re gonna find a sound, you’re gonna find your true voice.
When I came back, I was driving this ’95 Corolla I had borrowed from my sister’s boyfriend, and a bungee cord was holding up the passenger side window! I ended up writing with J.T. that day because we have a mutual friend who’s a songwriter who pawned me off on J.T., and what a blessing!

Here’s a page w/the actual lyrics. Not really about the Corolla, but there’s a Corolla involved in the writing of the lyrics I guess. One with a bungee corded window. A down and out Corolla? Can’t even keep it’s own windows up? That seems a very country western song-like story to me. lol

I learn something new every day. I’d never heard of Wuling Motorcars.
Are they made for the Wuling class?
Only if General Tso allows it
