My 2005 Dodge Dakota truck is shaking violently (in the front end) when I apply the brakes and I can’t seem to fix the problem. I have changed the front rotors, brakes, alignment and new tires. How can I fix this problem? Thank you, Andy
Since you have done the obvious probable repairs I would look at the brake vacuum hose, and booster, as it may be a vacuum loss problem causing the shaking due to engine effects.
When you had the alignment done, did you have the front suspension checked? Worn front suspension components can do this, too.
“Worn front suspension components can do this, too.”
Exactly!
I would be much more suspicious of the condition of the ball joints and tie rod ends than something engine-related.
