@davesmopar if i was younger, I’d buy this. But you’d be able to make good use of it.

I’ll try to keep an eye on it, curious what it will end up selling for…
I like a lot of it, but would defiantly change a few things… But overall a very nice car… But it is a Resto Mod not a Pro Street lol…
Not sure why they thought that steering wheel would go with the rest of the car though…
Like to of seen the trunk, looks like they cut the floor out for a sump and then went with a different setup for the fuel cell, or measured once and cut 3 times… lol
Also guess they had the Cragar SS wheels on front, probably back also, but later went with the 15X12(?) Dragstar’s (Weld Prostar’s?) for the rear meats…
Looks like 90’s build… And love the sound of that cam, music to my ears… Would like to know what that engine combo is…
Thanks for sharing, I enjoy old hot rods…
A car built to one guy’s tastes, lots of fun parts, but not many folks ‘cup of tea’. I’ll be surprised if it goes very high. Less than $10k?
I think it will likely get bid up close to $20k
Well, when I looked at it 5 hours ago it was only on it’s 2nd bid of $1,100…
CURRENT BID: Bibd123
Reserve not met
But agreed, and I think the guy that built it just built it mostly as a trailer queen and or show car as it has no rollbar or cage and I can’t see, but probably not even frame connectors (unibody design), so the car is not tied together for hard launches and would likely twist, but again all that can be changed… Still would be a fun car to go get grocery’s in…
It sounds like a good job may have been done building the Torqueflight. I dont know… i haven’t built one myself in over 20 years.
No info on the trans internal other than “pro built”, so I would defiantly pull it and tear it down to see what’s inside, other than the Valve Body…
The 8.75 rear end is very strong with the 489 case, I have the same in my RR and a spare…
Looks like it has a full MSD ignition system (not sure about the blue coil), NO more ballast resistor lol, with a timing retard for the NOS system…
But at some point someone should have replaced the front drums with rotors and that unsafe Master cylinder…
Top bid - $5500.
Now trying to sell it for $28,600 OBO.
Just too much of an oddball.
Interesting, I had honestly forgotten about it, but had noticed the reserve not meet yet, but didn’t know what the reserve was…
I still think it was built more for the fair ground shows then a drag strip…
The exterior looks nice but the engine bay is a disaster. Just looking at the work done there tells you something about who built this thing. Seller admits it wasn’t him. Don’t blame him for distancing himself but he bought it. Personally, if I saw this car, I would be attracted to the exterior. One glimpse under the hood- see ya. So many sins but who puts the ignition box next to a header pipe?? Not to mention the hack job at the back with the fuel pump. And as mentioned, there appears to be very little locating the rear axle so the big shoes are primarily for show…
Just checked for ha ha’s… It is still for sale with:
