We have a 2001 Subaru outback, and when warmed up and going 55 mph to 75 mph, a noise like an old odometer cable going bad)high pitched rubbing noise)come from the driver’s side of the dashboard. It can be intermittent, sometimes a short bust. sometimes making the noise for an hour or more unless the car is slowed down or it speeds up. WSe’ve had it checked and of course it never makes the noise when our mechanic checks it out.
Any help is appreciated.
