I own a 1994 Lincoln Continental. It appears to have an electrical short in the electronic display dash cluster. Routinely the display of oil level and gas level bounce around, then the mileage meter changes to display “—”. All the while the alarm is going off, " ding, ding, ding." My son-in-law is my mechanic, and he has changed the cluster three time; now we are unable to find another anywhere. Does anyone have any suggestions?
There are places you can send the dash to and have it repaired. With so many failures I would have to wonder if the real trouble is somewhere else besides the dash. Possibly in the wiring to it.
You need to improve your diagnostic skills. Getting pretty good at cluster removal I bet.
