My submission to the New CarTalk auto-vocabulary comes from my memories of my father’s experience with Italian cars (he parlayed 3 Alfa Romeos into one nice '67 Ferrari 330 GT:) and Tom and Rays obvious admiration for all things Italian, like Mama M’s home cooking, no? Look this up in your Funk & Wagnall’s, guys:
Fiatulence, noun: the sounds, sometimes accompanied by certain smells, encountered when following certain make(s) of automobiles down the road.
(And it only took one letter change to make this term possible…now, where’s the gasmask?!)
Love your show!
