I have a 2001 VW Golf with 47,000 miles. Sometimes at low speeds or when parked on a hill I hear a creaking sound coming from the back of the car. The car performance seems fine, but the sound is more frequent now than when I first noticed it several months ago. Any ideas? Thanks!
the noise could be coming form the rear sway bar bushing in the car. you could get away with just oiling them but they are most likely seal so you will habve to replace them. it you have a tire plus store around you have them look at the rear end. most likly it is for free. hope this helps.
