I have a 1996 chevy cavelier 4 cylinder and its leaking engine coolant from the radiator cap…is it an easy fix and if so what should i do?
Well IF the radiator cap is cracked and leaking, you can buy a new one and replace it. Just pick up one at the autoparts store (they will help you find the right one) and when the car is cool, unscrew the one on the car and screw the new on on. May only need a half turn.
However, how do you know it is a cracked cap? The cap is designed to allow steam and maybe coolant out IF coolant pressure gets too high and that can come from overheating, head gasket cracked block etc.
Ah? Replace the radiator cap?
