Hi, how much should I expect to pay to have a mechanic repair my car air conditioning on my 2006 Toyota Corolla if there’s a leak in the system and it’s blowing hot/room temperature air? Thanks!

It’s a lot cheaper to replace a leaking O-ring at the compressor than it is to replace a leaking evaporator that’s behind the dash.

I had to put a new condenser in mine, It was $100 for dye and recharge then$400 for a new condenser that had a leak.
I think you are on an island ( Hawaii ? ) so you choices are going to be limited so you will just have to pay a diagnostic fee and say do not repair without your approval .
