OK I own a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited with a 4.0 Liter I-6 cyclinder engine that has the Quadra Trac 2 4 wheel drive system and was under the impression from the dealership that the only differences between the Quada Drive and Quadra Trac 2 systems is that the Quadra Trac 2 has open differentials and Quada Drive have Limited Slip Differentials. Now I have put a new engine and transmission in my Jeep. I was wondering if I could change the differentials to Limited Slip Differentials, would I have the Quada Drive system or is there more to it than that?
If there is more would it me that i would have to replace the transfer case also?
I would like a detailed and full answer please.
Thanks for all the help!!!
I would recommed you find a good OFF ROAD forum, thers alot to choose from for jeeps, but those guys deal with that stuff on a daily basis, and will lead you in the right direction,I’m sure theres more to it 'then meets the eye.
good luck
