I’m considering buying a 1999 subaru forester with high mileage. the current owner said that periodically when the trans. is put in gear that it hesitates for about 10 seconds. He said that it doesn’t happen all the time but occasionally does. Is this going to be a serious transmission issue?
I’d pass on an unknown car with unknown trans problems. These also suffer from head gasket issues.
Don't walk, RUN away from this vehicle. If the transmission doesn't get you the head gaskets will.
Agree, RUN away from this vehicle. In addition to a new transmission, you will also likey face expensive repairs to the AWD system.
