Hi I would like to know which cold intake would be suitable for NISSAN TERRANO XL plz let me know
I would ask around in Nissan discussion forums. In places like that you’ll likely find people who have messed with this on that vehicle, while it’s unlikely (tho possible!) that someone here has.
Thnks how do I post this in Nissan forum
You wouldn’t be looking here - I’m talking about a whole different 'net discussion board someplace. I don’t know the best forums for Nissan discussion. Others here likely do. Just do a web search.
The same way you did here. Use Google for Nissan forums .
None of them. The factory installed a cold airintake when the car was built. The aftermarket products just consume your money, make noise and make no more horsepower.
They didn’t factory Install it for me
The car has an intake. There is an airbox holding the filter, right? There are hoses to the throttle body, right? That airbox has an inlet to the front or side of the car that takes in cooler air than what comes from underhood. THAT is your factory cold air intake.
Not sure where the Terrano was sold or what the US version is. But it was last made in 2005 so just be glad it runs.
But you can’t brag to your buddies about a factory/OEM cold air intake…
If you are going to ford streams with your Terrano you could install a snorkel. That’s definitely a cold air intake.
I wanted to put a aftermarket intake
It’s the terrano XL 110 DIESEL 2014 OR 2015 MODEL
I was planning on this
U read my mind hehehe
Suggest to retain possession of all the parts of the existing air intake if you go ahead with this idea, b/c modifications like this can befuddle the pcm’s calcuations for air to fuel ratio and turn on the check engine light. So take steps to make sure you are easily able to revert to the oem configuration if necessary.
As Nissan has discontinued this car years ago i would like to modify as much as I can , I have an ecu chip I have to remap it to balance the air to fuel ratio , with do u have any more suggestions

As others have already suggested, you should skip the expense of this modification, and instead concentrate on excellent maintenance in order to keep vehicle running reliably. Several years ago, we had a post from a woman who installed a performance chip in her new Ford diesel pickup truck, and the engine suffered severe damage that was not covered by warranty.
You might have escaped engine damage so far, but I suggest that you re-install the original chip and forego the CAI.
Actually the previous engine burnt down n we got a new one in sometime Imm ride it for 1000 to 5000 kms then think abt upgrades , thnks for your suggestion
@GorehamJ John do you want to combine these 2 threads or just close one of them?
