K&N makes a kit for older Terrano’s. A 4x4 shop might have other options. Usa sites only know the pathfinder and xterra sold here.
And with it being a diesel it will not make any difference other than more NOISE.
I couldn’t find it. Plenty of filters, no CAI.
Keep finding dead links, company I’ve never heard of makes one but probably not right engine.
Does it not already have an intake at the top of the radiator pulling in air ahead of the radiator?
Then the air flows through a plastic channel to the filter box and into the engine.
I thought it would be better to use warm air from behind the radiator to aid in evaporating the fuel ærosoled into the cylinders.
No, that is what fuel injectors do. Cold air is best and most dense.
Unless you are driving around with the engine screaming close to redline RPMS all the time, then the CAI is not going to do much if anything at all for your vehicle…
Heck, you could probably duct tape 1/2 your air filter off (1/2 air flow) and drive it around and not notice the difference…
I am sure your stock compression ratio, cam(s) intake and exhaust profile, head/valve intake and exhaust runners, intake and throttle body and exhaust system will not benefit from a Cold Air Intake…
I am a hot rodder and I wouldn’t waste my money on one in most cases…
Every test I have seen on aftermarket cold air intakes, they have provided LESS power than factory setups and let more dirt into the engines.
Tests of performance chips have the same results with possible engine damage.
