I have a 1997 VW Passat TDI
with a 5 speed transmission.
At least 2-3 times a week when im driving the car while shifting gears, when i push the clutch in its stays in and doesnt release on its own. i have to pull it back up by hand or wiggle my foot under the pedal to pull it up.
is this a sign that the clutch needs to be replaced. Its not slipping it pulls stong on acceleration. iT doesnt grind while shifting gears not making any unusual noises.
