Clunking sound upon shifting the stick into gear

Hi there,

I got a Kia Sportage 2001 with a Stick Shift. When I shift from gear to gear there is an audible but not loud, clunking or clinking sound especially if the shift is not smooth from one gear to another. And, if I pur the car in first gear and then tap on the accelerator, I hear the clunking sound.

One Thing To Check Is Motor Mounts, Especially A Front One.
