My 2001 Toyota Echo makes a clunking sound when going over bumps - why does it do this?
Something is making contact when it shouldn’t. Could be part of the exhaust system, could be something in the suspension. A mechanic should be able to figure out what it is by putting the car up on a lift and checking things out.
I suggest you have the car looked at by a mechanic. This could be something important.
