Thanks for input…I drive cars, but don’t do much beyond that in terms of knowing about
software updates, etc. Didn’t know about refurbished batteries…through the dealership,
or where do I get info about these? New, I was told they are $3-4,000 to replace which I
don’t think the car is worth…(some rust on body, etc…) Also understood that the reset of
computers would be evident, or mess up inspection right after. Refurbished battery might
be a possibility… Dealership has looked at lights, reset several different times…
As a matter of fact, I believe the dealer can sell you a refurbished battery
I believe the cost is around $2000, plus labor. Don’t quote me.
If done correctly, a refurbished battery should be as good as a new one
