Changed a blinker light, now brake lights won't work either

Hi, my blinker wasn’t working on my right side rear lights on my 1990 chevy 1500. I knew this because it was blinking fast and had someone check it. I took the housing out, replaced the blinker light, then replaced it, and the whole thing wont work, including brake lights. Now I went back and replaced another bulb that looked broken. All to no avail. Any ideas? I did disconnect the wires and re connected them afterward.

I replaced a 3156 bulb with a 3057, is that okay?

Thank you very much.

No

The 3156 is a single element bulb

The 3057 is a double element bulb

They are not interchangeable
