EGR in intake manifold on MoPar V-8

In the picture in the original post the EGR valve can be seen to the left of the carburetor with a yellow cap on the vacuum fitting. That manifold should have EGR ports in the floor of the intake manifold.

Thanks @Nevada_545. I totally missed that.

Last spring I decided to take one of my neglected cars out of storage and needed to do complete cleaning of carb. Lost my gallon of Berrymans somewhere between moves so looked online. Was surprised local Autozone supposedly had it in stock. I went there and searched everywhere for it. Younger guy asks if he can help. Wish I could have gotten pic of his expression after I explained what I was looking for. He had no idea. I finally found 2 of them pushed to the back of the bottom shelf with a thick coat of dust on them. They last practically a lifetime for an occassional DIYer. Unless you lose itā€¦Iā€™ll take soaking 20 minutes in Berrymans over a spray can any dayā€¦

I have the big bucket ready when I need it but itā€™s been a while. I probably wonā€™t buy another even though it is much better than the spray cans for appearance and convenience. After soaking a dip in water and a quick shot of air through the ports and itā€™s like new and looks like new. I would never rebuild a carburetor for someone else and not dip it but for myself the spray cans get the job done.

I donā€™t work on cars much, but on old motorcycles that have been sitting for years, before I fire it up after cleaning the carb I put another inline fuel filter in the supply hose just before the carb. If it starts to run all sorts of ugly crap can come rattling down the fuel line, right into your nice sparkly carb, and you have to clean it again.
