I have a 2000 dodge caravan 6 cyl. The serpentine belt shreds almost once a year. I am replacing it for the sixth time and the car onlt has 120k miles. Along with the belts, the pulleys, tensioners, etc have been replaced as well. Any suggestions?
This is almost always caused by the pulleys being out of alignment with each other. Often, this is caused by the tensioner failing, but you say that has been replaced. How about the idler pulley?
the AC has been the culprit in mine. i had a new compressor installed, and it went away. check all the pumps too.
