I have a 1998 Dodge Grand Caravan with a 3.3 engine in it. i’ve been having problems with my belt, it keeps coming off. I’ve replaced the belt twice now with 2 different brands and with higher price belts. I also replaced belt tensioner. But everytime it rains out it seems the belt comes off. any suggestions thanks
I believe Dodge has a TSB out about this problem.
On some vehicles water can get between the crankshaft pulley and the serpentine belt. This water then builds where the hydraulic pressure pushes the belt off the pulley. There’s a shield that’s installed to prevent this from happening.
