I have a 1999 Toyota Camry (4cyl) that just surpassed 100,000 miles. Recently I have been hearing a squealing noise from the front of my car. It only occurs when I start driving and goes away after a couple of minutes. If I press lightly on the brakes when driving forward the noise will cease but will return if I release the brake. I’m thinking its either the brakes which were replaced about a year ago, or maybe the serpentine belt which has never been replaced. Any Ideas?
Thanks,
The problem definitely sounds like it’s the brakes. Get them checked. But if that serpentine as been on that long, replace that too.
