I have a lot of old car magazines where would be the best place to try to sell these?
I’d go with the local Craigslist, you don’t want to ship them. But you need to be OK with strangers coming by to look and buy. Hemmings is a place for car nuts, and there’s alway Ebay. You could use one of those Ebay selling services, if they’ll take them. Just out of curiosity, what titles and years?
Thank you for the advise. I thought about craigslist but I have 190 issues. Titles are Street Rodder, Car Magazine, Car Craft, Street Machine, Custom & Rod Ideas, Super Chevy, Rod and more… All ranging from the late 60’s to early 90’s.
Well, you don’t want to sell them individually. Maybe by title for the largest ones, then a mixed lot for the rest.
Look at Amazon and eBay to see if anyone is selling them. That could also give you an idea of whether they are worth anything.
Will do. We’ve done some research and are finding that some are worth a little. But I will look further.
Now that I think about it, you might have better luck, more $$ if you split them up by decade. Some of us are '60s guys, some 70s, etc. I’d expect the older ones to get better prices, of course.
go to a car show/swap meet. people will want to relive the old days, and who knows, if you pick the right event, the magazine people may even be there in person.
dont sell on ebay or craigslist. hemmings would be good. other then that, in person is the only way to sell them.
That guy that runs that pawn shop in Las Vegas buys anything.
That Place Is Always So Crowded That Nobody Goes There Any More.
