Car jerks at steady speed

A Toyota 2002 Camry XLE, automatic, 96K miles, 1-owner family car has started mild jerking at steady speed. Jerks at steady speed whether speed maintained by foot or cruise control. Seems to happen mostly when going downhill or low-grade downhill. Just had 90K inspection done, dealer says nothing is wrong when hooked to a computer. Please help - cannot spend $1000s when the dealers are trying to figure out the problem

Check for an intake air (vacuum) leak.

Faulty fuel pump.

Faulty Idle Air Control system or emissions problem.

Find a reputable independent shop. Most times they are cheaper (not always) and can give you a choice of OEM or aftermarket components.

Ask friends, family or co-workers who they trust to repair their vehicles.
