Car is completely dead

If you mean the red wire, we can’t see either end of it. It’s hard to determine what it’s for without seeing both ends. By sidewall I think you mean the fender. Is that right? Is there a connector box or does it just disappear through a hole in the fender? If it ends on a bolt on the fender it’s a ground. Maybe you can follow the wire to the other end by looking more closely or feeling with your hand. With the car off, of course.

The loose wire appears to be a body ground.

The red wire goes to the speaker in the back

So where does this loose wire go to the? It’s connected on the side wall underneath the fuse panel box…this dude really messed up on the cable wires that’s showing…I shouldn’t of trusted him. My roommates fault.

Nevermind y’all it’s goes to the negative, thanks tho, for the help

I’ve looked at identical cars in junkyard in past for assembly clues when grabbing parts. But ya gotta have access to one. And do some walking.

Agreed, looks like the battery to chassis (body) ground wire,

NO, it is dudes fault for messing it up and saying he could fix it…

Did it start for ya??

No I would need to have it jump started

If the battery in the picture goes to the car, it is under warranty, take it back to Walmart and they will either charge it up for you or replace it, don’t tell them the story behind it all, just tell them the battery died…

I thought the battery was out for recharging. Now, reinstalled it needs a jump?

That’s not the original battery tho, the other one is in the car, a side post one, doesn’t work either so might have to invest in a new battery soon or go to Walmart like mentioned

A side post battery was never meant to be installed in your Honda… You either have to convert the battery terminal ends over to side post terminal ends, or add adapters to the side post battery to accept the top post terminal ends, but then the terminals are still on the sides and more out to contact something metal and spark on the positive side…

So given the new and correct top post terminal ends, stay away from a side post battery if at all possible…

As in a previous post. Just use public transportation. Don’t let ‘some dude’ touch it. Just leave the car parked, let your boyfriend fix his car when he gets out of jail.

Yeah that’s what I’m going to have to do, I’ve gotten all the wires connected and everything just in case, but thanks yall

Sure on issue? Battery is good but no crank? Is starter ok? Car is 25 yrs old. A shop could fix it. But you are short money. Life is like that.

Not sure about the battery, I tried to charge it up but it’s not working, might have to replace it idk this dude said it was that and the alternator

Need to get the battery warrantied out while it is/should still be free…

Is this the same dude that couldn’t replace simple cable ends??
I would not trust his diagnostic ability…
